UniProtKB description:  A non-essential component of the chromosome segregation machinery (PubMed:29180656). An adapter protein that recruits monomeric ParA to the bactofilin scaffold (PubMed:29180656). Cooperates with the bactofilin BacNOP complex to correctly position the ParABS chromosome partitioning machinery (PubMed:29180656). May also play a role in bactofilin complex assembly (PubMed:29180656). Upon expression in E.coli associates with DNA and causes nucleoid condensation (PubMed:29180656). CTP-binding stabilizes the dimeric form and allows ParA binding; it is not clear if this protein can hydrolyze CTP (PubMed:31835030).
