UniProtKB description: Disease resistance (R) protein that specifically recognizes the Xanthomonas and Pseudomonas effector proteins XopQ and HopQ1, and triggers cell death (PubMed:28891100). An NAD(+) hydrolase (NADase): in response to activation, catalyzes cleavage of NAD(+) into ADP-D-ribose (ADPR) and nicotinamide; NAD(+) cleavage triggers a defense system that promotes cell death (PubMed:31439792). Makes small amounts of 2' cyclic ADPR (2'cADPR) (PubMed:36048923).
