DNA polymerase III delta subunit, C-terminal domain
This entry represents the C-terminal domain of the delta subunit from the clamp-loader complex of Bacillus subtilis and other Gram-positive bacteria, which is structurally similar to that of the DNApol3 delta subunit from E.coli [1-3]. This domain i ...
This entry represents the C-terminal domain of the delta subunit from the clamp-loader complex of Bacillus subtilis and other Gram-positive bacteria, which is structurally similar to that of the DNApol3 delta subunit from E.coli [1-3]. This domain interacts with other subunits in the complex (tau and delta') and the nature of these interactions appear to be hydrophilic in contrast with the one observed in Gram-negative bacteria [3].

DNA polymerase III, delta subunit (EC 2.7.7.7) is required for, along with delta' subunit, the assembly of the processivity factor beta(2) onto primed DNA in the DNA polymerase III holoenzyme-catalysed reaction [1]. The delta subunit is also known as HolA. This entry represents the ATPase domain [1,2]
